Carving a Ring-necked Pheasant miniature Step 14

Glue the legs to the pheasant using 5 minute epoxy glue.

After the glue has set the legs in place you can build up and blend the legs to the body using wood epoxy putty

Allow to epoxy to set.

You are ready to prepare for painting.

    Hi Brian. It looks like you have the legs inserted up to the spur toe. In photos it looks like the spur is half way between the other toes and the body. I think I like the shorter legs. Doesn’t draw your attention to the errors!!!!

      Hi Nancy,
      I was wondering if anyone would notice I had shortened the leg insert.
      I felt the shorter leg length was more in proportion to the body. When painting, the under body feathers will be covering the upper leg.
